Trump Announces Ceasefire Agreement Between Israel and Iran

USA: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a complete ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, bringing an end to the 12-day-long war between the two nations.

Trump Truth announced this on social media, "Congratulations to everyone! Israel and Iran have agreed to a full ceasefire. After both sides complete their final operations, the ceasefire will begin in about 6 hours and will last for 12 hours. After that, the war will officially be over. Iran will begin the ceasefire first, followed by Israel 12 hours later. Within 24 hours, the 12-day war will come to a formal end. The world welcomes this development. Both sides will remain calm and respectful during the ceasefire period."

Trump further stated:

"If all goes well, both Israel and Iran have shown courage and wisdom to bring this war to an end. This conflict could have dragged on for years and potentially destroyed the entire Middle East. But that didn’t happen - and it will never happen! May God bless Israel, may God bless Iran, may God bless the Middle East, may God bless America, and may God bless the entire world!"

However, there has been no official confirmation or statement from either Israel or Iran so far. It's worth noting that during past conflicts-such as between India and Pakistan-Trump had similarly announced ceasefires before official confirmation came from the involved nations.

Massive Explosions Reported in Tehran

According to international media reports, multiple heavy explosions were heard early Tuesday morning in Tehran. Fighter jets were seen flying overhead. The blasts reportedly occurred around 3:00 AM local time (23:30 GMT) in the northern and central parts of the Iranian capital.

As per Trump’s announcement, Iran was supposed to unilaterally halt all its military operations by 04:00 GMT, and the ceasefire was set to take effect thereafter. However, these explosions were reported just hours before the ceasefire deadline.

Iran Retaliates After U.S. Strikes Nuclear Sites

Trump’s ceasefire announcement came shortly after Iran retaliated against the U.S., which had earlier struck three Iranian nuclear facilities.

Late last night, following assurances of weapons support from Russia, Iran launched intercontinental missiles targeting U.S. Air Force bases in Doha, Qatar, and Iraq. In response, the Indian Embassy in Qatar issued an advisory urging Indian nationals to move to safer locations.

According to U.S. intelligence reports, Iran had been preparing for attacks against American forces within 48 hours. The reports warned that in response to "Operation Midnight Hammer," Iran could launch coordinated attacks on American forces stationed across Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar.

Israel Strikes Back with Air Raids

On Monday, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on multiple Iranian targets, including military and air bases, nuclear facilities, and critical infrastructure. The Israeli Defense Forces stated: "Strategic government sites, military and air bases, and nuclear plants of the Iranian regime were targeted. The attacks were in retaliation for Iran’s assault on Israeli civilians and aimed at punishing Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei."

On the same day, Israel bombed the Fordow nuclear facility, which had been targeted by the U.S. a day earlier. Iran responded with airstrikes on Israeli bases located in mountainous regions outside Tehran. Additionally, Iran launched attacks on six Israeli airports and airbases.

Just a day after this intense exchange, President Trump declared that both nations had agreed to a ceasefire.
