Condemning the Kashmir Pahalgam attack, Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he will provide full support to India, following Pakistan's war rhetoric. Putin's words have now increased the fear in Pakistan.
Russia stands by India amid tensions with Pakistan. The Russian President, who called Prime Minister Modi, made it clear that he will provide full support to India. Putin strongly condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack and said that they will stand together to end the terror attacks.
At a time when China is considering supporting Pakistan, Vladimir Putin has delivered shocking news to Pakistan. An agreement has been signed with the Indian Army to purchase Russian-made Igla S missiles. The report mentioned that Russia has signed this agreement worth Rs 250 crore with India under the Western Front Defense Program during times of emergency.
These missiles have also been supplied to the Army and Air Force. While the weapons were delivered to the Army a few days ago in the category of very short-range air defence systems, another batch has recently arrived from Russia for the defence forces. The Defence Ministry brought in this second batch of weapons only after the Pahalgam attack. Along with these, the Indian Army has also called for tenders for 48 rocket launchers and 90 Shaurya missiles. Russia condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and advised Pakistan to implement the Shimla Agreement at the Arctic Circle meeting held on Sunday.
At the same time, the country's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has shocked Western countries, including Europe, by saying that at this time we need partners, not preachers. When some countries, including Europe, raised concerns about the tensions between India and Pakistan, Jaishankar responded.
"The leaders of the two countries reaffirmed their commitment to further enhance the Special Strategic Partnership. Prime Minister Modi conveyed his greetings to President Putin on the occasion of the 80th Victory Day. On this occasion, he invited Putin to the annual summit to be held in India at the end of the year" Spokesperson Jaiswal said.
