On June 27th, actress Shefali Jariwala - who rose to fame with her standout role in the "Kaanta Laga" music video passed away in Mumbai. Her family has yet to issue an official statement about her condition, although there is some indication that cardiac arrest may be the cause. Cooper Hospital is in the process of conducting a postmortem.
Shefali was reportedly rushed to Mumbai’s Bellevue Hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi, along with three others. Unfortunately, she was already dead when they got there. The 42-year-old was brought in unresponsive, according to confirmation from the hospital reception personnel.
Shefali was discovered at her Andheri home, according to Mumbai Police, however it is still unknown what caused her death. A police officer revealed, "We got a call at about one in the morning." Cooper Hospital received her body for a postmortem. It is still unknown what caused the death. To look into it, a forensic team also came to her house.
Her husband, Parag Tyagi, looked heartbroken as he left the hospital, quietly getting into his car while trying to avoid the cameras. It was journalist Vicky Lalwani who first shared the heartbreaking news online saying, “Kaanta Laga girl Shefali Jariwala is no more,” which was a heart breaking message.
The police have started a preliminary investigation, IANS reports. To piece together what happened before she died, they have started interviewing the cook and other domestic workers. Forensic team has inspected her house thoroughly.
While details of how she died remain undisclosed, authorities are investigating carefully with the fact that both police and forensic experts were involved in her death.
Her sudden passing has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world. Bharti Singh, Kushal Tandon, Paras Chhabra, Himanshi Khurana, and Karishma Tanna are among the celebrities who have sent their sympathies and conveyed their sorrow.
Shefali rose to fame at just 20 years old after starring in the hit music video Kaanta Laga. Later on, she had appearances in a number of Bollywood movies and music albums, including Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, starring Salman Khan. She made an appearance in the web series Baby Come Naa in 2019. She was also seen on Bigg Boss 13 and participated alongside her husband, Parag Tyagi, in the dance reality shows Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7.
In 2004, Shefali married Harmeet Singh, but the two parted ways in 2009. Later, in 2015, she married Parag Tyagi.
