The Indian Navy (Nausena Bharti) has announced the official notification for the recruitment of Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers for the June 2025–26 course.

A total of 260 vacancies are available.

• Online application started on 09 August 2025.

• Last date to apply is 08 September 2025.

• Eligible DOB range: Candidates born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2005.

Eligibility Criteria (Branch-wise)

Executive Branch

1) SSC General Service (GS/X)

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any discipline with 60% marks.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2001 to 01/07/2006

2) Air Traffic Controller (ATC)

• Qualification: B.Tech in any discipline with 60% marks.

• Must also have 60% marks in 10th and 12th, and 60% in English in 10th or 12th.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2001 to 01/01/2005

3) Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO)

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any stream with 60% marks.

• Also 60% in 10th and 12th, and 60% in English in 10th or 12th.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2002 to 01/01/2007

4) SSC Pilot

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any stream with 60% marks.

• Also 60% in 10th and 12th, and 60% in English in 10th or 12th.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2002 to 01/01/2007

5) SSC Logistics

• Qualification (any one):

  • BE/B.Tech in any stream, OR

  • MBA / MCA / M.Sc (IT), OR

  • Eligibility extends to candidates who have a B.Sc, B.Com, or B.Sc (IT) degree along with a First Class PG Diploma in Finance.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2001 to 01/07/2006

6) Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC)

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% in one of the following (or closely related) streams:
  Mechanical, Mechanical with Automation, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Micro Electronics, Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical/Metallurgy, Industrial Production, Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering/Application, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation.
  OR Post-Graduate degree in Electronics/Physics.

• Must also have 60% aggregate in Class X and XII and minimum 60% in English in Class X or Class XII.

7) Law

• Qualification: Degree in Law with minimum 55% marks, qualifying for enrolment as an advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961.

• The degree should be obtained from a college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Technical Branch

1) Engineering Branch (General Service)

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech (60% marks) in one or more of the following:
  Mechanical, Marine, Instrumentation, Production, Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering & Management, Control Engineering, Aerospace, Automobiles, Metallurgy, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2001 to 01/07/2006

2) Electrical Branch (General Service)

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech (60% marks) in:
  Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Applied Electronics & Communication (AEC), Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Power Engineering, Power Electronics.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2001 to 01/07/2006

3) Naval Constructor

• Qualification: BE/B.Tech:
  Candidates from the following branches are eligible: Mechanical, Mechanical with Automation, Civil, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Metallurgy, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ship Technology, Ship Building, and Ship Design.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2001 to 01/07/2006

Education Branch

Education (multiple pathways)

Path A (M.Sc routes):

• M.Sc in Mathematics or Operational Research with at least 60% marks and Physics at the B.Sc level,

• OR M.Sc in Physics / Applied Physics with at least 60% marks and Mathematics at the B.Sc level,

• OR M.Sc in Chemistry with at least 60% marks and Physics at the B.Sc level.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/2001 to 01/01/2005

Path B (Engineering/M.Tech routes):

• Applicants must have:

  • BE/B.Tech degree with at least 60% marks in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication,
    OR

  • M.Tech degree with at least 60% marks in Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering, Machine Design, Communication System Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, VLSI, or Power System Engineering.

• Age Limit (DOB range): 02/01/1999 to 01/01/2005
